The Jailhouse Gallery inside The Myrna Loy
THEME: Seeking photography, paintings, drawings, mixed media, fiber art, stained glass, sculptures and poetry that showcases exciting visual or language contrasts. Contrasts can be made by color, lighting, texture, perspective or wording/language.
*Small jewelry makers do not have to follow the theme. Jewelers, please provide photos showcasing 5-10 pieces along with prices.
*2-D artwork must be framed and ready to hang. Solid color frames only.
*This exhibition does not accept video, film, or installation and works requiring an external electrical source.
WHO CAN APPLY: All persons who self-identify as LGBTQIA2S+ and allies who believe we learn, grow and evolve as a people when we let the light (radiance) shine.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Friday April 7th, 2023
HOW TO SUBMIT:

ARTIST BIO: 50 words or less. Website URL & social media handles (if applicable).
ARTIST STATEMENT: Minimum 50 words explaining the inspiration, process or meaning of your pieces(s). What does your 'contrast' represent? *Include mediums and prices.
ATTACHMENT(S): 1-5 images per artist. Submissions must be be the artist's original work.
Artwork, including items sold, must remain on exhibit for the duration of the show (excluding jewelry).
APPROVAL COMMITTEE:
A committee appointed by The Myrna Loy.
PROFITS: 25% to The Myrna 75% to the artist. Artists will be paid when the exhibit is over.
ARTIST RECEPTION: TBD, June 2023
